Ballymacoda Ladysbridge Community Council 2022

Ballymacoda Ladysbridge Community Council was founded over 20 years ago to promote the social and economic development of the area. BLCC is divided into sub groups including very active Tidy Towns groups in Ladysbridge and Ballymacoda, the Knockadoon Enhancement Project, Community Care (Na Saoithe) and Community Alert groups, the local Defibrillator committee, the Historical committee, the Environmental and Coast Care group, to name but a few. BLCC is also the sponsor of the local DSP Community Employment Scheme which is an invaluable asset for our community.

BLCC is now fund raising to pay for the running costs of sub committees, insurance bills, audit fees and other sundry expenses incurred during the year. Our annual draw has not taken place since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic as the door to door collection was not possible. You, our community, supported our last Gofundme campaign and we hope you will support us once more. We very much wish to continue the good work done over the past 20 years and ensure our beautiful corner of East Cork remains a wonderful place to live and to visit, and your support would mean we can progress our development plans.

This funding will be used for a wide variety of activities in every corner of our parish. From supporting our Tidy Towns groups with village maintenance to continued enhancements to our historical sites, to maintain our local defibrillators and train first responders, to fund clean coast initiatives, to assist and support our older residents with our social outings and alert schemes, to maintain the Ladysbridge Loop and Knockadoon Trails and to help bring our ambitious plans for further development in our community to fruition. This funding will be invaluable and every BLCC councillor and volunteer will be immensely grateful that you answered our call.
