Mexico Earthquake Rebuilding Fund

Mexico City, headquarters of Bamba Experience, suffered a tragic earthquake on September 19th, 2017. The Condesa and Roma neighborhoods where our office is located, were severely damaged. Fortunately, everyone in the Bamba office and their family members are safe, however there are countless members of our community and country who have lost everything.    

We are asking for your help.  Although a lot has already been done to support the immediate earthquake relief efforts, we know that many affected people require ongoing support to rebuild their homes and get back on their feet. 

100% of donations will go towards the following necessities:
- Assisting families with rebuilding efforts
- Purchasing tools and materials needed for the clean-up and rebuilding 
- Purchasing water, food, toiletries and medicines locally to donate to the disaster relief

We are working on the ground directly with the following local disaster relief organizations in Mexico City and the highly affected states of Morelos, Oaxaca and Chiapas to make sure your kind donations go directly to the people in need.  We have personal contacts at the following organizations that are focused on rebuilding. We will provide weekly updates as we find new ways to help.

The national death toll is 369 from this tragedy.  In Mexico City 40 buildings have collapsed while over 3,000 have been severely damaged. In the nearby state of Morelos over 10,000 buildings were destroyed or damaged. Many of the people who lost their homes have no homeowner’s insurance.
