Support the BaMO Academy Performing Arts Program
Tax deductible
Principal Robin Brown Christian proudly announces the Barack and Michelle Obama (BaMO) Academy performing arts curriculum in band, drama, dance and chorus for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. Art will also be offered in our after school enrichment program. The arts are an integral part of a successful, well-rounded education. Arts education is fundamental for our students’ development of creativity, innovation, collaboration, accountability, confidence and visual and fine motor skills.
Principal Christian has selected, Mr. Richard Harris, BaMO Academy Project Facilitator, Screen Actor’s Guild member, graduate of Atlanta Public Schools, University of Georgia and Morehouse College alum and former America’s Next Top Model coach and choreographer for the Motown 25 television special, to be the coordinator for the art’s program.
All funds raised go directly toward the program to support supplies and equipment for practices and performances. Upcoming holiday performances include our Dance Department's "Hotlantaland" at 6PM on Dec 13 and our interdisciplinary Performing Arts Department's "Holly Jolly Jukebox" at 6PM on Dec 18. With your help, we can ensure that our children continue to have access to the art enrichment necessary for the quality education that they deserve!
