Bando J Dog Medical Bills

Last night I had to rush Bandit to the Vet ER at Penn. After a relatively normal day playing in the water he threw up multiple times ( 6 or 7 total) and when I gave him water he would drink all of it and then throw it up.

At first I had to do that thing that poor pet owners do where you hope and pray that this can wait until the morning when the vet is open, because you know how expensive the ER is gonna be. 

When I sat with him he would stare at me in what looked like abject misery and his eyelids would get heavy. It was clear he was trying to keep his eyes open but couldn't. When I listened to his breathing it was clear that he couldn't get much air per breath and so I drove him to PENN. 

The short version is that he has aspirational pneumonia. The first course of treatment the doctor recommended was going to cost $3,500 -$4,000. I was then put in the position of explaining my employment status (partially employed) and that I don't have $3,500.

There are few feelings worse than telling someone that you don't have enough money to save your pet's life. 

Luckily they offered some other options that were less money but fact of the matter remains the same - I'm sliding by, like a lot of people right now and the extra unemployment benefits are about to dry up. 

Because I'm midwestern at heart, and was raised Catholic I feel inherently guilty even making this ask, but I also don't have the money to pay this whole bill and weather the next month or two without knowing what my employment status (and unemployment benefits) will look like.  The number I'm asking for is about half of the bill. 

There's a lot going on right now. I'm not the only one who doesn't have work. There are literal revolutions happening in this country as I write this. If you're able to help, I can't stress how much that would mean to me. If you can't, you can't. We're all just doing our best right now.
