Help Kelsey with Bar Prep and Bar Exam Expenses!

Hello! As a third year law student in my final semester, I'm raising money to cover my bar prep course cost and other expenses that come with registering for and taking the bar exam!

I've worked hard to get here. Coming from Archer, FL, a small farm town, I was raised in a low-income household that instilled hard work in me. I was in foster care early on in life, which spurred my passion for helping other kids and families going through the child welfare and foster care systems. In college, I worked full time to pay for school, and after graduating a year early I was grateful to receive a full tuition scholarship for New York Law School. My time here at NYLS has been wonderful, and exposed me to so many opportunities, which I want to continue exploring once I become a licensed attorney. 

I came to law school with a mission of helping children and parents going through the foster care and child welfare systems, something very personal to me. Although these three years of schooling have been extremely important and I've been able to help some families through internships and supervision, I need to take the bar in order to become a fully practicing attorney and continue to help those in need. 

As I mentioned before, I received a full scholarship for tuition for law school, but neither scholarships nor student loans cover expenses related to the bar exam. This money will directly help me pay for my bar prep course, as well as the fees associated with applying to take the bar and registering to become a licensed attorney.
