Relief for Baraderes Haiti
Donation protected
On October 3, 2016, the category five Hurricane Matthew swept through the southwestern part of Haiti leaving behind massive destruction and casualties.
By now you have heard the names Jeremie, Les Cayes and Port Salut, all areas affected by Hurricane Matthew, all areas receiving aid. But have you heard of the town of Baraderes? Like Jeremie and Les Cayes, Baraderes is situated in southwest Haiti and is experiencing serious devastation. In fact approximately 90 percent of Baraderes is destroyed. There are but a few homes still standing. People are finding shelter in between rocks, there is not food, there is no water. There is fear of a Cholera outbreak. The people of Baraderes need your help.
Why Baraders? Baraderes is dear to our hearts. It is where our parents are from. Our names are Ritha Pierre and George Sainteus. Aside from the personal connection to the town, the people need help. Because Baraderes is not one of the major popular cities, they are not receiving aid. Most of the relief efforts are going to Jeremie and Les Cayes. But towns such as Baraderes have been neglected. We are here to bring awareness to Baraderes with the help of Haiti Recovery Relief Inc.(HABDER). HABDER is a 501c3 registered non for profit organization that has dedicated itself to serving and supporting the people of Baraderes.
Thank you in advance for your support. Nous Sommes Baraderes! We are Baraderes!
