Barakat Family

My name is Llynette Shirazi and I am starting a fundraiser to help a dear friend whose husband suddenly and tragically passed away just a few days ago.

Munir D. Barakat was a loving father and devoted husband that suddenly and tragically passed away on August 2nd, 2023 leaving behind his wife Laura and three extremely young children Valentina (age 14), Veronica (age 12) and Christian (age 10). Munir and Laura were married for over 15 years and shared a beautiful life with their children Valentina, Veronica and Christian.

Munir was an intelligent and gifted attorney who mentored many younger associates throughout the course of his 18 year legal career. Those who were fortunate to meet and/or work with Munir knew him as a vibrate and passionate family man who deeply adored his family.

Due to this unfortunate tragedy, Munir will never see his children graduate from middle school, high school, college and/or follow in his footsteps by possibly attending Law School someday. Please join my husband Wajih and I in contributing to the future education and well being of his children Valentina, Veronica and Christian. God Bless you all!
