Barb Goes South!
Donation protected
Unfortunately, we didn't raise the funds to grant Barbs wish of taking her to Florida to see her best friend. Barb passed on Tuesday, February 7th peacefully in her sleep. We now ask during this difficult time for help raising funds to give her the funeral she wanted. Thank you, and God bless.
Hi everyone! Please help my mother take her mom Bard south to Florida to see her family and best friend!! Barb just turned 80 on October 5th, which she now shares with her newest grandson. Barbs health has been declining as of late.. and the one thing she keeps asking for is to go home to Florida and see her family and lifelong best friend, Joyce.
Barbs story:
Being the eldest daughter and third born of 15 children; she grew up fast, and hard. The Lee family moved around a bit, but they stuck together. Every two years there is a family reunion on Labor Day in Michigan, and Easter in Florida. Florida has always held her heart, but she has lived in Michigan to raise her daughter with husband, Dale Wilson, of 44 years before his death in 2010.
Since her health is declining, we ask for help in taking her down to Florida one last time. We were hoping to go for the Easter reunion, but with unfortunate circumstances comes hopeful possibility. We have the chance and time to take her in the new year, but like many, times are tough.
My mother suffered a stroke in 2016 and again earlier this year, she has been on disability since. She can't manage the drive alone as it is 18 hours straight, and both would require stops to recharge. An unlucky circumstance has allowed me to help my mother grant this wish.
We can't fly because she requires oxygen, and we don't want to risk her being without so we have decided the safest option would be to drive. With gas, car rental, hotels, food, etc. The price is too steep for us to manage the drive.
I know it's the holidays and money is always tight, but it's also a time for miracles.
Please help us grant my grandmother's wish of seeing her family and lifeling friend. She hasn't seen Joyce since her 40th high school reunion, and was supposed to see her this past fall until she tested positive for Covid-19 and couldn't make the trip North to Barb. She would also like to stop and see the graves of her mother Violet, father Edward, and gone too soon at the age of 9 brother Earl. Along with her remaining brothers, sisters, and cousins who still live in Florida today.
We're not asking for much, just enough to do this. We thank you, appreciate you, and bless you during this Holiday season.❤️
