Barbara and Steve Irby

On August 24, 2023, an unexpected and tragic situation occurred. Steve Irby was taking his mother Barbara Irby to a doctors appointment in Alamance county NC. They were hit head on and both of them lost their lives. Steve and Barbara were good people and this is a shock to the family and community. Steve was not only the primary caretaker of his mother but the caretaker of his wife who was the love of his life. His wife, Janice has been battling major health issues and is now going through the unexpected death of her husband and mother in law. Janice is going to need so much support and we know our community bands together. Any monetary help would be greatly appreciated. The cost of a double funeral is putting a lot of stress on Janice. She is also trying her best to figure out how to pay off Steve’s new to him truck (aka his baby) and not let it go back to the bank. Due to the situation, any insurance policies are not able to help right now. Monthly bills are a struggles right now. Everything is a struggle. If you are unable to donate, the family is asking for everyone to keep them in their thoughts and prayers.
