Barbara Hawks Cancer Support

Hi, My name is Barbara Hawks and I am married to Mike not only is he the best he is also the love of my life. I have one son and a one daughter, and I feel very blessed to have a such a loving family. 

It all started when I went to the doctor because of a sinus infection.  The doctor wanted to rule out pneumonia so he ordered a chest x-ray.  I have never had a chest x-ray and I thought it was pointless, I knew I didn't have pneumonia.  I didn't want to go but my husband made sure I went and had that x-ray done.   And I thank God every day that Mike made me go.

That's when I found out I have Lung Cancer.  One of the most scariest things you will ever hear from a doctor.  My doctors have recommended Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments.  They will begin on  November 2,  2020.    

I started this fund to help pay for medical expenses.  Our insurance will only pay for so much the rest is up to us.  We have no clue what the finial bill will be, or how much each treatment will cost.  I know that the PET scan cost us almost 4,000 dollars.  So I can only imagine what the Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments will cost us.
