Mom, 84, needs help with her AC, 92° inside temp.

Hi! I'm Pamela Hébert, Barbara Hébert's oldest child. My 84-year-old Mom has a 17-year-old AC unit that developed a leak in the coil and has needed freon boosters annually until it was needed twice this year. This week, after yet another freon booster, and with the heat wave we've been having, the compressor went out also. Right now it is 92° in the house. None of the windows in this house are built so that window units could be installed. At this point, her failing system simply has to be replaced since she has been holding it together with bandaids and bubble gum for the last several years. She, nor any of us, can qualify for a loan to install a new system for approximately $10K. We are trying to keep her hydrated while we work on some solutions.
