I don't exactly know how to put this into words. Just sitting here trying to type it, makes it even harder.

Unfortunately, on Monday morning, I lost my best friend in the world. My mother was the best person inside and out. She always opened her door to anyone who needed a hot meal or just a couch to sleep on. There was no boundary of what she would do to go out of her way for a friend or stranger. Always welcoming people into her home for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or just another day of the week.

Mom did everything for me, Sarah and the girls. Especially the girls. They never went without. Kayla was everything to her. From the day she came into her life, she wouldn't let her out of her site. Kayla was moms little Mini-Me. And of course, when Dana joined the family, it was an instant connection. And of course there is Sarah. Mom did everything to teach her all of her learnings over the years to make Sarah the best person she is today. Sarah was mom's caretaker over the years. Anything mom needed; Sarah was there without question.

And there is me. For 42 years, mom did everything she could to give me the very best life. She made me the man I am today. I will forever be grateful for everything she did for me.

I love you mom. I know you are no longer hurting. I know you are sitting in heaven having a glass of wine with your sisters and mother looking over us. I will see you again one day. I love you.

We will be having a celebration of life soon. We will keep everyone updated on when that will be.
