Emergency Lost Funding - Social Security Clawback

I just learned that I will get no check for this month and only $44 the next.

When I first retired,  I got an incentive to retire in the form of a buyout.
Apparently Social Security counted it as earned income and decided I made too much in 2018 for those first 2 checks.  So they want about  $1500 back.  I've spoken to them and sent papers in, and they say they will make adjustments, but it's 30 days or so for that.

Well, I had gotten a letter and simply assumed that I would get my regular check this month, and only the $44 for next.  I thought at least I could take this check and somehow work around next month's shortage.  Surprise!  And right now I have $4 in the bank because I assumed that I could cover other expenses.

In any event, I will appreciate whatever you can give.  BTW, the amount will also cover a dental appointment on the 13th and have a margin in case things are delayed otherwise.  While SS has been good so far, I don't want to have to deal with another shortage say in December.

Thanks to all of you who give.
