On December 28th, 2018, Barbara Mitchell went into the ER at Kaiser Roseville due to symptoms that were close to kidney stones. When the doctors did a CT scan, they found cancer in her liver, pelvis, and spine. Barbara ended up staying at Kaiser Roseville until December 31st, 2018. Throughout her time at Kaiser, she received numerous tests, such as blood tests and MRI's. At the end of her stay at Kaiser, the doctors found more cancer in her body. They also found cancer in her skull.
When Barbara left the doctors, it was time to set up numerous doctors appointments for her. The first doctors appointment was to see the oncologist and then the spine doctor. Fast forward 2 weeks, January 8th, 2019, the oncologist told Barbara that the official diagnosis is Metastatic Breast Cancer. This is a stage 4 cancer that is incurable. Barbara is still unsure about whether she wants treatment at this time or just do things that are on her bucket list. This GoFundMe is for the upcoming medical bills that will be sent her way and any private upcoming costs that will take place in the future.
