BARBAREN BARBIES: A Wild Women Adventure!

Die Barbaren Barbies, aus Deutschland, Neuseeland, Kanada und Finnland, sind ein internationales Zirkus-Kollektiv aus Berlin. Sie touren seit März 2022 durch Deutschland und über die Grenzen hinaus, und spielten erfolgreich im August 2024 auf dem Edinburgh FRINGE Festival in Schottland.

Die Barbaren Barbies vereinen Akrobatik, Tanz und Theater mit herrlich schockierender Albernheit. Mit ihrer Liebe in verschiedenste Charaktere zu schlüpfen, widmen sie sich mit Verve und Wucht den Vorstellungen von Weiblichkeit und nehmen unverblümt und berührend spielerisch Klischees auf die Schippe. Man stelle sich die fünf Superheldinnen einfach als Mixtur aus Berliner Underground Kabarett und den Vegas Spice Girls vor.

The Barbaren Barbies are a Berlin-based international circus company hailing from Germany, New Zealand, Canada and Finland. From March 2022 they have been touring throughout Germany, Austria and Poland, and they successfully debuted at the Edinburgh FRINGE Festival 2024 in Scotland.

The Barbaren Barbies smash together incredible acrobatics, dance and comedy with delightfully shocking silliness. These five bold superheroines playfully tease stereotypes and tackle the complexity of womanhood. They are witty, touching, hilarious and unapologetic. It's like if the underground Berlin circus scene had a beautiful love child with a Vegas Spice Girl.
