Barber Joseph LaLima Legal Fund
Joseph LaLima has been a licensed barber since 1968. He was accused by Gov. Cuomo of cutting hair in violation of the lockdown order, and of spreading “covid” to his customers. However, Cuomo’s order allowed licensed hair cutters to work from home — and Joe's shop at 678 Broadway has been his legal residence since 1975. Additionally, he never tested positive for “covid” and nobody whose hair he cut got it. On May 24, the State of New York revoked permanently his barber’s license, removing his one source of revenue and damaging his
reputation. He will be taking legal action to get it back. This is a complicated branch of law that few attorneys in New York practice. This
GoFundMe is to help cover his attorney's fees and living expenses while he is out of work.
