Barbican Community Centre

Hi there! We are the Barbican Community Centre, a new space for the People of York reclaimed from disused brownfield land. We host People's Assemblies, a community allotment, a pay-as-you-feel cafe, a radical library, live music events, a safe space for York's homeless residents, a hub for local businesses, city-wide composting, a skatepark, and anything else you can think of!

We need your support to buy pallets, plants, compost, food, sheds, and to resist illegal eviction by the police or baillifs.

The site will be occupied 24/7 by volunteers, so come down if you want to lend a hand picking litter, or even just coming to have a cup of tea and read a book.
