This is not the first time Barb has had to face the harsh realities of breast cancer. Losing her mom when she was only 12 to this disease has left her always fearing a diagnosis of her own. In January of 2022, she received that harrowing news. Barb has always been the encouraging voice, reassuring friends and family, ‘you got this!”, as they have faced their own battles with cancer and life’s many hardships. Now, as she joins the warriors in pink, we are honored to rally behind her and echo her battle cry of "you got this!”. Barb is extremely hesitant to ask for help, but we truly believe this wonderful woman is deserving of the same love and support that she has poured out on countless others.
This fundraising campaign is exclusively for medical out-of-pocket expenses, prescriptions, and to help cover lost income due to the recovery time needed from the multiple surgeries she will undergo in the upcoming months. Barb is a single income household and unfortunately also suffered from an unrelated sickness early this year which exhausted the majority of her paid leave, and short-term disability is not an option.
First and foremost, please pray. Pray for Barb’s safety and healing. Pray that God provides just what she needs. Pray for peace and a calming of her fears. If you are able to help support Barb’s battle financially, you can do so in a number of ways shown below. Please note this platform does accept PayPal and the suggested tip to the gofundme website is not mandatory, gifts can be anonymous if chosen.
