Dear Barcelona and Paddock Pub Friends and Family,
This is an unprecedented time in our history and there was no way to prepare for the impact it has had and will have on all of us.
It is also having a huge impact on Barcelona and The Paddock Pub.
Barcelona just celebrated 23yrs of being open and The Pub will celebrate its 4th anniversary in April. We attribute our ongoing success to you, our valued guests and to our incredible teams in both restaurants. We are proud to be part of your community and we look forward to many more years of welcoming you into our ‘home’.
Unfortunately, the Covid-19 virus and the directives from our Governor have severely limited our options to operate. This past week we attempted to do carry-out service, but the benchmarks we set were not met and it does not make sense to continue operations. We have decided to close down completely in order to preserve our financial resources until the time comes that we can re-open as full-service restaurants.
We truly desire to re-open in the future, but this catastrophe is causing a substantial financial hardship for our team members and for the restaurants. Our first concern is the welfare of our loyal team members who currently do not have a steady income available to them other than unemployment benefits. Our own financial resources are decidedly limited.
We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support we have already received, including donations towards our efforts to help our staff! This and other incredible gestures are the seeds for our current plans. A multitude of our guests have asked how else they can support us during this difficult time.
We are humbly asking for your financial support through a donation to our Go Fund Me campaign. These funds will be used to financially support Barcelona, The Paddock Pub and our team members that need financial assistance until we are able to fully employ them again upon our re-opening.
You will have our heartfelt gratitude for all donations. All donations to the fund will make an impact on our future and the lives of our team members. A donation of $500 or more will garner you an invitation to a Grand Re-Opening party on the Patio at Barcelona. Years from now, we can all look back and say, “Together we made a difference in our community!”
