Barcelona Marathon for BLGC

Hi, my name is Lauren and i'll be running the Barcelona Marathon on the 16th March 2025 to raise funds for a charity very close to many people's hearts, in the small town of Bolton - BLGC (Bolton Lads & Girls Club)

BLGC is a charity that provides a youth centre for children and young people between the ages of 8 and 19 years, and up to 25 years for young people with disabilities.

The charity provides a range of services that focus on a range of needs including emotional health and wellbeing, mental health, building self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience.

As the centre is a registered charity, the main source of income is through fundraising. Without this the charity would not be able to run and would mean a vast amount of children, young people and families lose out on the incredible difference the charity makes into these lives.

The BLGC vision and mission :

“TO ENABLE CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY THOSE FROM DISADVANTAGED BACKGROUNDS TO LIVE HAPPIER, HEALTHIER AND POSITIVE LIVES BY PROVIDING SOMEWHERE TO GO THAT IS SAFE, MODERN, INSPIRING AND ENGAGING, AND SOMEONE TO TALK TO WHEN THEY NEED IT MOST"
