Barcinas Family Fundraiser

Hi all, many of you probably know Brad Barcinas, our Senior Shipping and Receiving Clerk here at GPO. If you know Brad, you know that his personality is infectious and he is always a joy to be around. Brad is always helping everyone everywhere he can, and he is a great friend to all. If you know Brad, you also probably know that he is from Guam and that his culture is very near and dear to him and his family.

Recently, on May 24th, Typhoon Mawar struck the islands of Guam and Rota, where the majority of Brad's family lives. This typhoon was the strongest to pass through the region in over 20 years (same storm level as a Cat 4 Hurricane), leaving water and power outages in most of both, Guam and Rota.

Just a month later, the majority of the islands are just now getting power and water back, however, there is still a lot to be done with disaster recovery. Brad's family members, as well as most of the island, have experienced significant flood and wind damage making some of their homes inhabitable.

Brad and his immediate Pensacola family are planning to fly to Guam later this month to help their family and everyone they can for 3 weeks in late July through early August. During this time, Brad and his family will be helping rebuild/repair homes, clear debris, and get help to everyone they can.

We want to team together as Brad's NFCU Family and help donate what we can to help these families get back in their homes, and back on their feet.

Please consider donating what you are able, as all funds will be greatly appreciated and go towards Brad's transportation and purchasing supplies for repairs, food, water, etc.
