Bark N Lounge fire
Donation protected
We are devastated to say...we've had a fire at the kennel tonight. We got the animals out but the structure is a complete loss. Obviously any scheduled services at this time will be canceled. We are making preparations to temporarily house our current boarders. We lost the whole kennel and a camper off the side of it which had all of Allison’s personal belongings that over the years she got for her house in which all got ruined. Including clothing, wedding items for her upcoming wedding, her dogs items, and much more. The house she was building had gotten damaged to it. Our storage section which had tons of personal items is all gone every last thing. We are still unsure of what started the fire. Could’ve been a space heater but we are UNSURE by the time fire crew got here it was to far gone to tell what caused it. If it wasn’t for John and Jackie staying at the kennel this night things would’ve been a lot worse thanks to John and Jackie for their quick acting we got all the dogs out of the fire. Unfortunately in the chaos of everything a firefighter saw John and Jackie putting dogs into cars we had on the property and threw a little dog in with a non dog friendly dog and she was attacked and unfortunately killed. Marley is still at loss she’s our kennel cat keep your eye out if you live in the area please! She was seen running out the side of the building towards a field.
We are collecting donations to either replace things we lost, to help pay for clean up, and possibly rebuild! we will know more later and continue to update as we go!
At the moment we are good on all dog essentials! Thanks to all our helpers and rescues Allison works with we have enough to last us a long time!
All the dogs are safe in John and Jackie’s home just a big slumber party!
We appreciate everyone who has helped us and continues to help us! We are all very devastated and feel this is all a bad dream and we hope to wake up soon! We are astounded by the amount of love and care we have gotten and can’t imagine a better community! Thank you all again! - The Dixon family
ps we know the amount is nowhere near the amount lost in the fire but we don’t feel we need to ask for to much at the moment! We are so very blessed to even be here and have each other! Your kind words are just as good as a donation! They keep us going!
