Barneys Place Food Pantry

Hello,
Me and my family moved into our dream home 1 week before the big shutdown due to Covid-19 and me being a caterer I lost all of my upcoming jobs because of all the restrictions.  I suddenly had a lot of time on my hands so decided to do my little part in helping out those in my community struggling to make ends meet.  This massive bi-weekly Food Pantry began as a tiny little pantry that I built for the community and stuck out front of our house for all to use.  I thought that maybe it would be a easier way for people to grab a couple items without having to ask for help. My little pantry slowly started to get a few donations here and there and within 2 weeks I was already having to store excess food donations in bins in the garage.  With so many donations coming in I decided to turn that little pantry out front into a bi-weekly Food Pantry that I would hold in my garage.  Long story short, my Brother posted a video about the pantry online and it ended up going viral and catching the attention of all the local news outlets.  They did a story on me and my pantry which was seen by National stations resulting in several interviews and even a bit of live TV.  I had an Amazon Wishlist on my website and Facebook page for people to order from and get shipped directly here for the pantry, but had to take it down because we no longer have any room left in our house.(see pictures)  I have been receiving packages from all over the world and I’m in desperate need of a much larger space.  I'm currently in the process of becoming a Nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status in hopes of getting some grants to help this grow.  Until then I need a much bigger space to both store and hold the pantries. All of the money from this campaign combined with previous donations will Go directly to getting a larger space with refrigeration and possibly a kitchen where I can do hot meals in the future along with shelving and supplies for the space. Something that makes my pantry special is that it is set up like a convivence store where anyone in need can come and shop for free.  We have all sorts of items from canned goods, toiletries, pet food, personal care items, feminine products and pretty much anything a regular store would carry.  Anyone is welcome and we do not ask any questions about your current situation because I personally know how hard it can be to have to ask for help.  I am totally prepared to take “The Little Pantry” as far as I can and help out as many people as possible.
Try to wake up every day and make it a point to help out a stranger no Matter how big or small it may be.  You will be surprised how quickly Love and Compassion can spread like wildfire and end up changing your life.  It changed mine. #SmallBusinessRelief
