Barnum Softball Scoreboard

Hi, my name is Andrea Ziesmer—a Barnum area softball parent! I am making this fundraiser on behalf of ALL of Barnum softball ladies, parents and our much appreciated COACHES; we are raising funds to put up a scoreboard on the softball field in which our youth girls play!

Greetings Area Businesses and Friends:

On behalf of the Barnum softball program, we are humbly asking for your financial assistance in purchasing a scoreboard for Barnum's softball field.

The softball program has run since the 1980s, and we are working tirelessly to improve our

facilities. Barnum softball field is currently operating without any scoreboard, not even one made of wood. As of late, we have been able to remove the bright orange snow fence and install a regulation-size metal fence. We are making gains, little by little.

What ignited the flame for a scoreboard was a silly comment of “what's the score” and another man answering “check the scoreboard,” knowing it didn't exist. We all feel the softball community athletes deserve better. As a result, this mission has begun.

The blessing of Superintendent Bill Peel and our school board has been instrumental in our

successful start. The scoreboard would be the biggest and brightest in Minnesota if it could be paid for in small town pride. Our surrounding communities attend every event and show up to contribute to a successful future for our kids. We want our softball athletes to see that what they've worked on in practices, on their own, and during the off-seasons shows in their success under the lights of their softball field and finally on the scoreboard. We value your time. Here is the image of the scoreboard that is our

goal and will cost us between $5,000 - $7,000.

Flyers have been made for businesses which were labeled as seen below. However, GoFundMe will hopefully be an easy way for our friends and supporters to donate as they wish!

Our scoreboard donation categories are as follows:

 Single - $100

 Double - $200

 Triple - $300

 Home Run - $400

 Grand Slam - $500

 or I am happy to contribute $________ to the success of the Barnum Softball Program.

Your donation is tax-deductible.

To have an exact track record of meeting our goal, we would appreciate a check made out to ISD 91 (no cash please) with the memo “softball scoreboard,” while also signing the log document from our athlete indicating the amount contributed.

The new scoreboard will have your business name engraved on a plaque of all donations $100 and above. We're inviting you to the big reveal of it during our home game with our softball athletes, and we'll also be thanking you in our local papers.

Donations may also be made by check (to ISD 91) or cash (no change will be made) at Barnum High School, 3675 County Road 13, Barnum, MN 55707.
