Hello everyone,
As many of you know our dad Barron R. Perry passed away on May 7th, before our dad took his life away he was struggling with an injury that was not well compensated for a number of years from his job. This disruption in his life led him. As you all may well know our dad was the most joyful, social, giving, and hardworking person. He prided himself on his two kids overcoming obstacles he faced himself in life. Both his children are in grad school, his son most recently graduated from his undergrad this month.
Before our dad's passing, he was struggling with depression and anxiety, in addition to this, the physical pain from his work-related neck injury. The stress of all this led to his eventual passing.
Before his passing my dad didn't really settle his affairs which would enable a smoother transition. Much of the money he left for his family might be inaccessible for months to years, but the mortgage on the houses will now be transferred to
Lastly, for my father's memorial service, we have to accommodate for the current pandemic. We plan on having a driveby memorial service at our family home and one at his favorite bar for non-immediate family. We are in need of someone who can print a memorial banner so people can leave well flowers, candles, letters, and grieve while staying safe. We plan on filling the streets with windchimes so as cars pass by they will ring. If you happen to have some spare chimes or can make the banner please contact us.
Our dad lived a full life and was loved by many. Although he felt alone in the end, I know he had such a wide community that loved him and cared for him deeply. We choose to believe that his community, will help support his family in our time of mourning. In his memory, we ask that you please tell a Black man that they matter to you and that they can talk to you if they need anything and that’s okay to cry and express pain.
More details will be posted later, on how you can honor our father’s death on his children's facebook.
Thank you and with much love,
Barron R Perry's Kids, Miles and Vanessa

our mom. My mom already has her own student loans, bills, plus loan, and expenses to pay, now with this added looming debt over her head, her kids are worried. We have many unanswered questions with his death but he did make one thing clear is that he loved his family and for us to breathe life back into our family home.
So with a heavy heart, we the children of Barron R. Perry are asking if you can donate if you can afford it. We know these times are unprecedented for all of us and are aware that not everyone is able to afford to contribute with money. We understand that. We are in need of not just monetary coverage but skills and items. Our dad was the main fixer in our life he possessed a wealth of knowledge from home repairs to car repairs. Due to his injuries, he was unable to fix our family home or vehicles for the three years before his passing. There are many repairs we are in need of for the house before we put it on the market like electrical wiring and plumbing, as well as cosmetic things like new paint on the walls and new floors. So if you are skillful in these areas or just willing to help please reach out to us.
