Barry & Brenda Calva

Hi, my name is Kim and I am fundraising for my stepdad, Barry Calva and my mom, Brenda Calva. This is for unexpected medical bills, to offset expenses for my mom having to take off work, and also repairs on the house for when he is ready to be back home. On Aug 25th he wasn’t feeling well and my mom ended up calling an ambulance. He was very confused, didn’t know where he was, had a high fever, blood pressure was high, sugar was extremely high. He was transported to UAMS where several test were ran and they believed at that time that he had pneumonia and suffered a stroke/seizures. The following day he was transferred to the VA in Little Rock he stayed there from 8/26 - 9/22. He underwent one major surgery that was life threatening while he was there. Late 9/22 he was sent to Premiere the Springs Rehabilitation Facility. On 9/28 he told my mom he was still in a lot of pain and they realized he had a lot more infection and was rushed to Springhill Baptist Hospital where he underwent 2 more surgeries that were more invasive than the first one! He cannot walk or even stand up so it’s going to be a very long road for both of them. I have faith that God is going to provide a way to get them everything they need and provide a way! We need lots and lots of prayers.
