Barry "Guy" Balchun - Central Park Bench Campaign
Donation protected
Barry "Guy" Balchun passed away last spring, leaving his wide circle of friends devastated. He was a multi-talented artist, one of the last bohemians in the world, and a true citizen of New York City. Central Park was his favorite place. It’s where he found peace, inspiration, and solace throughout his life, especially during the COVID-19 epidemic. To honor his memory, we’d like to get him a plaque on a bench in Central Park, near the carousel, where he often spent afternoons taking pictures and chatting with random passersby.
The cost is steep at $10,000. Any support, big or small, you could give would be appreciated beyond measure. This memorial would mean so much to so many people, giving those who loved Barry a place to visit and remember him.
Thank you so so much. Justin & Alexander
