Barry Hanna

Barry Hanna went home to Jesus on April 22, 2024 at the age of 60.

He was born to Barbara and Byron Hanna in Las Vegas, NV on April 7, 1964. His family moved to Southern California when he was a child. Barry graduated from Redondo Union High School and Pasadena City College. He worked in sales throughout Southern California. Barry is survived by his two half brothers (Mark and Byron) and half sister (Victoria).

Barry was a long time resident of Redondo Beach and a South Bay volleyball legend. He was a staple at Knob Hill for decades and then 8th Street in Hermosa Beach. He played volleyball for over 40 years, traveling the world playing with his friends and competing against the best players in the game.

He was a huge sports enthusiast and enjoyed attending concerts and sporting events with his friends. He was a pet lover and had quite a green thumb in his little garden. Barry was a kind and generous man. He always had a smile on his face, a story to tell and hugs to give. If you let him, he would literally talk your ear off for hours because he was a great story teller. Barry was the first person to greet you on the beach or at an event. His smile was big and his laugh was infectious. He did not have a mean bone in his body. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He will be missed dearly and forever remembered.
