WELCOME TO THE NEW BARRYVILLE FARMERS' MARKET!

We’re excited to announce the relaunch of the Barryville Farmers’ Market  under new management and featuring many of the same beloved vendors, plus lots of new ones! We’ve been working hard to put a new infrastructure in place and have been fortunate to find a welcoming partner in the Barryville United Methodist Church. They offered us their beautiful riverfront property and neighbors Debra and John Conway kindly invited us to use part of their yard as well.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE
It takes a lot to get up and running, as we have to invest in everything from signage to picnic tables to insurance (and even portapotties!). We’ll also be helping to maintain the grounds and are planning to create an educational garden at the church. We’ve got lots of volunteers behind the scenes but all the rest requires funds, which is where our community comes in. And that means you! Whatever support you can give is greatly appreciated and will go towards helping us launch the market we all value so much.

OUR MISSION
The mission of the Barryville Farmers’ Market is to nourish our community with locally grown and produced food, as well as education and entertainment for all ages. At our market, you buy directly from the person who grew it or made it—they can tell you how best to cook, use and enjoy it. Your support contributes directly to the local economy and ensures the future of a strong regional food system that includes small farms.

OUR COMMUNITY
Our goal is to remain a community gathering place with live music, family activities and lots of learning opportunities on topics such as our local agriculture and ecology, cooking, gardening and more. We advocate reducing, reusing and recycling where possible and encourage you to bring your own market basket and cloth tote bags! Let’s work together to come up with sustainable options that support a cleaner, safer environment.

The Barryville Farmers’ Market has applied for non-profit status and is awaiting its 501c3 designation.
