Barton has spent more than twenty years serving the community of West Michigan. His love for journalism began in 1986 where he championed the community in his search for truth and a good story. His love for written word eclipsed only by the love for his wife Lorena and his two children Harrison and Sophie. We are raising money for Barton and his family after Barton was diagnosed with West Nile Virus September 17, 2020.

It's about helping our brother, fellow journalist and his family in his fight to return to health. Please consider donating what you can in these hard times. His wife is doing her best to manage a house and her husbands health on one income with mounting bills. We are hoping to give them some resources that will give them a better chance at maintaining mortgage payments and any hospital or hotel expenses. The smallest donation can help. Thank You!
