After the the horrific events of October 7th I became introspective, examining exactly where I can make a difference for Am Yisroel. As a 51-year-old Orthodox Jewish man, married ~30 years with 4 kids, ages from 19-26 (2 of which are learning in yeshivah in Israel), and family in the IDF, that fateful day has truly affected me and my family. I have realized that in my life there must be more for me to do.
I have been a Physical Therapist in New York for over 27 years and have worked with clients of all ages in all settings. Rehabilitation is what I know, it is my passion. That is how the seeds for the Baruch Haba foundation were sown. The Baruch Haba Foundation will provide homecare therapeutic equipment to wounded IDF soldiers, as well as victims of terror, ensuring that they receive top notch care while they recover in the comfort of their own home. This allows for a faster recovery, as well as making room in hospitals and rehab centers for the vast amount of soldiers who unfortunately require the space at this precarious time period. In order for the Baruch Haba Foundation to become a reality funding is needed at this time to set up a website, for office supplies, flyers, pamphlets , business cards, to attain a 501 c3 status, etc. The State of Israel has never needed us more than they do now. Please consider giving to help get this foundation up and running. Baruch Haba is a term used when one welcomes another into their home. We, the homecare facilitators, are being welcomed into the homes of those affected by this war, the wounded soldiers and terror victims. With Hashem's help the Baruch Haba foundation will be a success and bring comfort to those who sacrifice so much for our beautiful homeland.
