Basalt High School Project Graduation 2021
Tax deductible
The 22nd annual Basalt High School Project Graduation is upon us!
Basalt High School’s Project Graduation has traditionally been an all-night celebration on the night of graduation, offering students an alternative to alcohol and drug-fueled parties, with the goal of keeping our kids safe during what can be a dangerous and deadly time of year. During the “lock-in,” students enjoy an evening with their fellow classmates playing games, winning prizes, and sharing the last of many memories spent together through the years.
While we are crossing our fingers that this year’s Class of 2021 will be able to have all of the bells and whistles as in past years, we know that since the onset of the pandemic, we have to stay flexible and be ready to switch gears at the last minute. So, although we are still firming up plans for this year, we know that we want to continue the two traditions of Project Graduation – keeping our kids safe, and partnering with their community to shower them with love (and prizes!) to express how proud we are of them!
Last year, we put out a last-minute request for support, and were so humbled to see the incredible outpouring from the community. Because of you, we were able to create a truly special experience for the Class of 2020, including socially-distanced games, a trip to the prize booth, and a SWAG bag full of donated items to start their career or college experience. Most importantly, students signed a pledge in memory of their classmate, Tyler Ribich, to promise not to drive while impaired. This new tradition will continue in the future, as well.
At Basalt High School, we're committing to making sure that ALL 116 GRADUATES feel special. After all, our motto is Be a Longhorn. Be One. Be Proud. BELONG. We're all in this together! But we can't do it without YOU!
Monetary donations of any amount are appreciated and give us the most flexibility. We are also seeking giveaway items or gift certificates for our prize tent. And we can always use volunteers!
All donations are 100% tax-deductible (as allowed by IRS guidelines) ...and 200% appreciated!! And if you'd rather give a gift certificate or SWAG, we can arrange for a pick-up and will ensure that your gift is distributed. While we're still not sure what our "prize and cash giveaway" will look like (as far as an in-person, physically distanced hand-off goes), we're committing to making sure that all 116 graduates of Basalt High School receive a gift bag that is meaningful.
If you'd prefer to donate via check, you can send donations to PO Box 4057, Basalt CO 81621. Paypal payments can be made via: [email redacted].
Basalt High School Project Graduation is a Non Profit organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our EIN # is 84-1598451
