BASELINE a production by MeMovement

Hi everyone! My name is MarieElena Martingano I am the Founder and Director of MeMovement. MeMovement is a project based, forward thinking movement collective that is committed to presenting artistic excellence across all platforms. Heavily rooted in collaboration, MeMovement focuses on interpersonal connection as well as a heightened sense of physicality. Inspired by the aesthetics of shape and design as well as the narratives and experiences of real life events, MeMovement uses the body as a vessel to transform these influences into movement expression.

I am here fundraising money for our upcoming Spring showcase called BASELINE. BASELINE is going to be a two-night live dance event featuring all new works choreographed by myself (the work of MeMovement) as well as a handful of outside choreographers; Shaina McGregor, Elisa Hernandez, Madison Lynch, Damontae Hack and Catherine Messina. Multiple dancers will be featured in BASELINE either performing their own works or the work of our talented choreographers. I have curated a lineup of creatives to come together to share their artistry and love for movement. MeMovement loves working with and meeting new artists and we look forward to sharing their unique perspectives!

With that said, Dancers, Choreographers, Musicians, Technical Assistants, Photographers, Costume Designers, and many more are putting their efforts towards pursuing their craft and must be paid the rates they deserve. This fundraiser will also help us to secure safe rehearsal spaces, venue rental costs, transportation, lighting, wardrobe, and more! All funds raised will be directly put back into the production and those involved. And yes, that means YOU! Our show would be nothing without our supportive audience members. Generating tickets, printing playbills, seating arrangements, and refreshments all play a part. We want to create a comfortable, safe, and inspiring atmosphere for all.
