Basic Spending, Bills, Rent Support

Hey there .

I'm Sean (Fryepod) a father of 3, two girls (10&1) and a boy (3). I've come here on suggestions by others, a very last ditch effort for external support... not something that I'd imagine myself to do.

Myself and their mother have always worked hard and found any means to support our children and provide them with a roof and decent living. At the start of this year we acquired our lease from previous holder, family members. While grateful for this, the house itself was left in pretty rough conditions, taking a considerable amount of time, money and energy to get it somewhat orderly. This was the start of our current fiscal situation...

Then in mid May I had been relieved of my postion of the last several years maintenance at dialysis centers across the Hudson Valley including several car dealerships. This was a combination of people willing to work for lower wages and issues at home with my son.

My son, Kamden has an extraordinary rare micro deletion syndrome and has attended two different special needs school after the first was not secure enough for him. He has low muscle tone, is non verbal, uses hinged AFOs to walk around and requires a one to one aide when at school. He sleeps in very irregular patterns, often requiring me to sleep three or four hours a day. I worked nights, as their mom worked days as a one to one aid herself. Prior to his school, I hosted 7 in house therapies a week, then heading straight off to work. While NYS does provide some good resources, it doesn't scratch the surface of needs and we're still far from any type of respite care which is something that would take him awhile to adjust to, even if it was for several hours a week. He often misses school, is a severe fall risk, and his immune system is seemingly behind the rest of us when catching bugs. This takes up a lot of my time and attention, even when it comes to my girls let alone going back to work.

We are currently just on their mother's income as I try to figure out work that can allow us to make ends meat, meet kamdens needs, meet a sleep schedule that isn't so extremely taxing, while making sure we have the flexibility to be home with Kamden in the days he doesn't make it to school while finding a babysitter for our youngest daughter.

At our current rate, bills and rent will not he made by the start of next month.

I'm currently looking into selling any of my belongings of value... problem is, I'm very contented. I'm not materialistic, I don't own many things that will change the current situation around except some smaller bills. I've put off medical and dental for myself for years out of the fear what it may cost my family for my own needs without good insurance.

Any bit of help is deeply, deeply appreciated to get us through bills and rent which the goal of this FundMe still isn't enough for, however as a father it brought me a tremendous amount of guilt to ask others for anything at all. This shouldn't fall on anyone but myself, and I hope to figure something out for us before we lose the place we just exhausted funds on to make it something resemblance of home.

So funds will be headed towards Rent/Bills and the cost of me staying home with our boy as needed.
