Basic Wolves Robotics Championship

The Basic Academy of International Studies competition robotics team, Wolves Robotics, has had an amazing year and needs your help to make this one our team will never forget!
Our robotics program has grown steadily over the years, from a handful of students working on one robot, to 6 competition teams consisting of 24 students.
The teams have worked tirelessly this season, and because of their effort and dedication, they have won 3 of their 4 tournaments this season including going 14-0 and winning the Nevada State VEX Robotics High School Championship for a 2nd year in a row!
Their performance has been exceptional even though we have mostly rookie members in our program. The success they have achieved is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
The wins have allowed our teams to qualify to compete in the CREATE US Open Robotics Championship (Nationals) and VEX Robotics World Championship.
The CREATE US Open Robotics Championship will take place in Iowa, April 5th-8th. The CREATE Foundation is an opportunity for top 200 VEX Robotics teams from across the country to compete with and against the best of the best. Wolves Robotics is once again excited to represent the great State of Nevada and their hometown of Henderson at this prestigious competition!
The VEX Robotics World Championship will bring together the top student-led high school robotics teams from around the world to Louisville, Kentucky, on April 25-29. The event will feature over 500 teams from 40 countries and is the ultimate display of engineering, computer programming, and teamwork skills in competitive robotics.
The team was also recognized with a Build Award and an Excellence Award!
From VEX:
The "Excellence Award" is the highest award presented in the VEX Robotics Competition. This award is presented to a team that exemplifies overall excellence in creating a high quality VEX Robotics program. This team is a strong contender in numerous award categories
The “Build” award is given to a team that has built a well-crafted and constructed robot that also shows a clear dedication to safety and attention to detail. Judges will be looking for robots that have a professional feel and quality look to them, with clear attention to detail in construction, efficient use of mechanical and electronic components, and reliability on the competition field.
Our diverse team of amazing students has been fundraising like crazy this year, but the cost to attend these competitions is financially overwhelming for our program. We have raised about 50% of the money necessary to attend both events but the last $12000 seems out of reach.
Your contribution will help to cover the cost of airfare, hotels, transportation, and administrative fees (event registration, substitute teachers, etc.) for the students and chaperones attending these events.
We thank you for your time and hope that you will consider supporting successful science, technology, engineering, and math programs that excite and inspire students such as Wolves Robotics! Many of our students will be graduating this spring and this opportunity will be their final chance at competing. We would hate for this opportunity to escape them because of financial reasons. This dynamic group of students has proven themselves to be capable and talented, and with your support, will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in this once in a lifetime opportunity.
