Basil Eleby was accused of starting the fire which burned down the I-85 bridge in March 2017. Despite maintaining his innocence, Mr. Eleby agreed to enter a court supervised behavioral and drug abuse program. He had been homeless and addicted to drugs for nearly 20 years prior to this false accusation. On Friday, February 28, 2020 Mr. Eleby will graduate from the BHTC Transition Program and will begin working full-time. Mr. Eleby has secured employment which requires him to arrive to work by 7:00 a.m., however public transportation does not begin running until 5:30 am and would require a 2+ hour commute. Davis Bozeman Law has found reliable transportation but we need the community's support to ensure Brother Basil has the proper tools to be successful as he enters the work force after many years of homelessness and addiction. Let's Support Basil Eleby!
We have exceeded our $2500 used car goal but any additional money collected will be used to help Basil move out of the recovery home he is currently in. It is time to make room for the next “Basil Eleby” who needs our community help to come from under the bridge.
