Bassism Truck at Tanzdemo Wem Gehört die Stadt

Donation protected
On Saturday June 8th, we want to build the only Bass Music sound truck this year at the street parade known as 'Wem Gehört die Stadt' or 'Who Owns The City?'. Come dance with us while raising a voice for rent control and fair housing for everyone.

Who we are: Bassism is a crew, a party, and a record label on Virgin Music, with nights at Gretchen, Panke, and YAAM club.

Alongside our friends at Drums @ Work, Recycle, Deviate, VUP, Crisp, Sub FM, CTM Festival and A Bass Odyssey. Join our team. Join the movement!

Your donation will help us:
1. book the artists
2. rent a big enough truck
3. hire a professional driver and stage hands
4. rent the generator, sound system, lighting
5. preserve the cultural identity and musical diversity of Berlin (with Bass)

What we will provide with your donation:
1. A full day of your favorite Drum & Bass and Dubstep
2. A double stacked Void Acoustics sound system
3. A top tier lineup of Berlin's best Bass Music DJs and MCs
4. Use any funds left over to donate to local charities

Let's reclaim Berlin!

Our city is being destroyed; Speculators continue to make massive profits at the expense of our quality of life. Enough is enough! For us, the right to be part of this city means the right to affordable housing and protection against displacement. Every apartment is a home! We especially need our city as a refuge and living space in times of crisis. However, exorbitant rents and increasingly high prices for food and energy pose unsolvable problems for all of us. Social housing is crucial. On top of that, we urgently need a rent freeze and a rent cap! Berlin is more than just living: open spaces must be created, and existing spaces must be protected. This applies to clubs, free open-air events or self-managed youth centers, housing projects, LGBTQ safe spaces, music schools, theaters, pubs, late-night shops, and more. This diversity is not only threatened by the spreading gentrification but also by the re-emergence of fascism. We will not let our diverse coexistence and our open society be destroyed. We speak up and stand with those threatened. That's why we're returning to the streets with you in 2024, with rolling bass, flickering strobes, and booming solidarity!
