THREE FRIENDS TACKLING ONE MAMMOTH CHALLENGE

Simon, David and Chris are three friends from a small village called Tideswell in the Peak District. They are hoping to raise awareness and make a small difference for a charity that is close to their hearts.

In June 2024 they are aiming to walk as many peaks as possible in the Lake District over a three day period. But they aren’t tackling just any peaks, they are aiming to conquer as many of the 42 peaks from the Bob Graham Round as they are physically able to do.

Whilst these friends have done some walking challenges in the past, it is fair to say this mission is on another level. They have spent over 12 months preparing and getting fit to give their all to the cause.

They are raising incredibly important funds for The Baton of Hope UK charity based in Sheffield. The vision of the charity is to have a zero suicide society, which is a long way from the tragic loss of 6,000 lives a year currently - many deaths of which are preventable.
