Battle for Daryl

Hi,

My name is Rodney Jensen.

I am raising funds for a famliy member that their 4 year old son "Bubba" who has been diagnosed with DIPG. (Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) it is a brain tumor that is highly aggressive and difficult to treat)

Little Daryl (Bubba) has been diagnosed with DIPG cancer. It’s a very aggressive form of tumor growing on the brain stem. This type of cancer only affects 300 or less children in the US. It’s  predominantly found in children 5 to 10 years of age,  mostly found in boys. Because of where the tumor is located, there is no surgery that can be done most of the chemo that they’ve tried has not been successful at all.

They started radiation at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee WI last week and so far he has only gotten one treatment. We are hoping this week goes much better because he will have treatments every day through the next six weeks, The Doctors are hoping that the tumor stays stagnant or shrinks a little bit. Clinical trials will be our next step after the radiation is done.

The life expectancy after diagnosis is not good, so we are calling all prayer warriors and postive thinker’s to do what you guys do best! If you are in the position to Donate to Little Dayrl we also ask that you Pray for him because we truly need a miracle here. This cancer is considered terminal and we want to believe that our son will be a miracle. Neither the Dad D.J or Crystal mom are not working, ( temporarily not working) in order to do the best that they can do to complete the the treatments and spend as much quality time as possible with our little man. We definitely need love, support, prayers and funds to get us through the hardest time that they and Bubba will ever have to go through. We have some benefits coming up that will help out greatly fr9m Children's Hospital and Make a wish foundation but is not nearly enough. We have so much help coming from the community and donations to the Children’s Hospital and with that we are truly blessed. Please think about all of us as this time as it has been a vety hard on all of us and Bubba's twin sister Tess as well. As twins they don’t ever want to be apart from each other so this is very hard on her as well. We just want to give the quality of Care and support as possible for the short time we have left with our little man.
