Battle for Jennifer Dodson

The message below was written by my dear friend Jennifer, describing the incredible hardships that she and her family are enduring, CANCER being among them. Please pause, take in her story, and help if you are able.

Hi,

My name is Jennifer Dodson, I am 35 years old and I am mother of a two and half year old baby girl named Yuna. Almost two years ago, not too long after our baby girl was born, my husband Dustin got diagnosed with pituitary tumors and had to have surgery to get it removed. Just a few months after his oldest sister, Yolanda, passed away after long battle with Breast cancer. In that period of time we also lost two of our fur babies Monica and Champ due to old age. With everything that has happened, we thought the challenging and difficult time was put behinds us. Unfortunately on September 2023, I got diagnosed with stage 2B Breast cancer. Like the news we got wasn't bad enough, two days before my double mastectomy surgery in November, my husband got laid off from his job. It feels like we are going through a heavy hail storm which hits us in every way it could……my battle with cancer, my husband job, trying to keep our insurance coverage through Cobra which takes out a huge amount every month, we also need to move to the new place at the end of December, then my car transmission broke down not too long ago. On top of that, now I am about to go through Chemotherapy and Hormone therapy, in which I will be starting on December 26. Even though I am thinking this is God testing us, I also know that we might not be able to go through this without help. That is the reason why I created this " Go Fund Me" page. Hopefully with the help from everyone we will one more time be able to survive the heavy storm got thrown in to our way and then be able to come out and see those beautiful days ahead.
