Battle for Luke

On February 26th Luke went into the hospital with severe abdominal pains, which we thought was the flu.  We found out that evening after having testing done that he had spots on his liver. He was admitted into the hospital that night, and after 3 CT scans , it showed a small tear in the colon and diverticulitis. Dr's decided to operate to repair the colon and rid of the diverticulitis and the devastating results determined that the colon was covered in large tumours which actually ruptured the colon wall and had spread. It's been determined he has stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to his liver and lymph nodes.Luke had immediate surgery to remove tumours in his colon, bowel and lymph nodes which has left him with a colostomy bag. At the time, they weren't able to operate on anything else. At only 36, Luke has a long hard road ahead of him and he is going to fight this cancer head on!  Of course with such a debilitating illness he will not be able to continue to work and treatments need to start as soon as possible. The costs for specialized treatments, medications, medical supplies etc are all going to build up and we are hoping this gofund me will help alleviate some of the financial strain so he can fully concentrate on his treatments and recovery.
