Battle for Rosio Fernandez (Rosie)

As Rosie’s friends and coworkers, we wanted to make this page to help her in her time of need. We all know Rosie as a person that takes care of everyone else and will never ask for anything. She is a single mom who has dedicated her life to her two boys and mother. If you know Rosie, you know she is a proud mother with a sweet and crazy personality who is always willing to lend a helping hand and loves to hang out with her family and friends.

On Friday, Rosie closed out her work week and looked forward to spending time at home. The weekend started as a typical weekend…doing work around the house, planning to paint her bathroom, and cutting the grass. On Sunday, Rosie went to a general doctor for a lingering pain. Not in a million years did she expect to hear that her battle with cancer was about to begin.

Tests later confirmed that she has acute myeloid leukemia (AML), an aggressive and fast-growing cancer. The aggressive nature of this disease has immediately placed Rosie in the hospital for the next month or longer while she undergoes intensive chemotherapy. With mounting medical bills and the unknown ahead, she now needs us more than ever…and the world needs her!

We are asking for support for this family, who now faces this life-changing event and all the associated medical costs incurred during her extended hospital stay.
