Once again the Merritt’s need your
Support; unfortunately
Vic’s cancer seems to be active....
I just received this note from one of Colleen and Vic's very good friend Linda Bittle Wilson:
He is battling stage 4 nsc lung cancer and leptomenigial carcinotasis that effects his brain and central nervous system...Vic has exhausted every penny of his 401k that he started when he was 18 years old to provide for his family and to keep things normal...he has paid over 65,000 in medical bills expenses in 2016 and 2017. He has worked his whole entire life and that now not only does he have the financial burden of medical expenses he has the added worry of a federal and state lien on his home because of withdrawing money from his 401k and being penalized for it. He made it a point to pay off his home so that his family will always have a place to live. He has spent his life helping the community whether through his work and coaching; he loved helping others and always paying it forward... as their Nightmare continues Colleen amazing strength only keeps getting stronger by being Vic’s caregiver and loving mother to her boys..
In addition to their financial crisis he now has to pay $3,300 per month for his one chemo pill. They have applied for charity care through the hospital To cover this additional expense; hoping they get approved but as their luck has proven Hasn’t been very lucky.
This has been a terrible nightmare for the Merritt’s. If we can assist with any support, its more than they have right now.
Please everyone....let's rally again for this family!! Our first campaign two years ago was very successful....let's help take some of the pressure off of them.
Thank you!
