Battle Like a Blackburn

My Aunt and Uncle have been battling cancer together. My Uncle Dave Blackburn has stage 4 metastatic cancer. His cancer started in the colon and spread to lungs and liver. My Aunt Sue Blackburn has stage 3 Serous uterine cancer. Dave has Total Parental Nutrition and daily IV hydration to survive and has to be seen at Mayo and Marquette. My Aunt has to travel back and forth to Green Bay every three months and is getting monthly treatments here in Marquette.

My wonderful cousins and their spouses (Bridget & Todd, Beau & Jolynn, Brett & Ashley, Brittany & Spencer) have been sharing in the support of their parents care. Driving them to and from appointments, travel expenses, hotel expenses, etc. I am hoping we can help ease the financial burden this type of care requires.

Perhaps you know my Aunt and Uncle from the many years they spent volunteering with Marquette youth sports/activities, or through their children or their amazing six grandchildren. Perhaps you're also related to them like me. If you are, then you already know how generous, loving, supportive, and cheerful they are. How they spread happiness wherever they go.

I’m asking for any assistance that can be provided as Sue and Dave navigate this journey. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated and will go towards lodging, travel, medical bills, and any other expenses they may face during this difficult time.
