Battle of Amritsar UK Screening Tour
Donation protected
Sevadaars and activists across North America and the UK have worked very hard for several years to produce a high calibre feature documentary film on the Battle of Amritsar. The film is now complete and we’re gearing up for screenings in the UK, Canada, and America.
We’re delighted to bring this documentary film to the global Sikh sangat and we need your support to make the UK screenings a success.
We’re looking to raise £8350 for the UK screening tour, a breakdown of our expenses is below
Digital Cinema Package (£600):
We need a specialist company to convert the raw film into a 4k Digital Cinema Package (DCP); this is the standard format required by cinemas across the world, in order to professionally screen the film on digital projectors.
BBFC certification (£700):
Certification for UK cinema screenings
Publication (£550):
We’ve produced an accompanying ‘Battle of Amritsar’ publication which we will be printing and distributing.
Promotional (2.5k):
Digital media, trailer production, Roller Banners, film posters, stall materials, and a custom T-Shirt to promote the film.
Venue and equipment hire (4k):
The film will be shown in private theatres and Gurdware. In some locations the local sangat will cover the venue/equipment costs and in others we will be covering the venue, and cost of renting a projection screen, projector, and sound system.
