Battling COVID-19 Anthony Bejar
Hi everyone, on March 16th my husband
Anthony went in to the ER with Covid-19
symptoms ( chest pain, headache, fever, confusion and mild trouble breathing) while there they did
chest x-rays and tested him for the Flu which
came back negative. The doctors felt that all he
had was an upper respiratory infection and sent
him home. Five days later .. March 21st Anthony was having extremely difficulty breathing, so we went back to the ER. This time at the ER they
would not let me come in. The nurse took my
husband in by wheelchair and that has since been the last I’ve seen him. While he was there they
did a chest x-ray and checked his oxygen level.
The chest x-ray indicated that he had pneumonia and fluid in his lungs and his oxygen level was at
80. They put him on oxygen did a CAT scan and
tested him for the COVID-19 which that test
took 36 hours to get back. 36 hours later he
tested positive for the COVID-19. The doctors
got the OK to start giving Anthony a trial
medication to treat the COVID-19 also a bunch of antibiotics to kill the bacteria in his lungs. On
March 26th the doctors took another x-ray and
stated that his chest and Lungs looked worse
than when he first came in. On March 27th
Anthony got transferred to the ICU so they can
monitor his lungs better and put him on a strong medication to treat the COVID-19. Anthony
continues to stay on oxygen he got up to use the
restroom with no oxygen on and within two
minutes his oxygen level went from 92 to 80 the
doctor stated he is breathing as if he was 90 years old. The doctors also stated they might have to
intubate him to preserve his lungs . On March
28th Anthony sounds much better and his
breathing with the help of oxygen is at 95 and no more fever. I pray this is the road to recovery.
Due to Anthony testing positive for the
COVID-19 I have also had to quarantine myself
for 14 days and have been out of work.
I decided to set up a go fund me account to help
with all the medical bills that we are going to be
facing along with any medication or oxygen he
will need when he comes home. Please anything
helps even just a prayer thank you so much and
God bless.
Anthony will continue to battle the COVID-19
and soon we shall say he survived this .
Anthony is an amazing husband and father of two teenage boys Giovanni (12) and Sabashton (14).
Please pray for his recovery.
Thank you, Christy Bejar.
