Jordan’s Cancer Fund
Jordan had a lump and pain for several months that he thought it could be a hernia and avoided going to the doctor because he is without health insurance, but on Saturday, May 1st, Jordan decided it was time to go to Urgent Care after a sleepless night of pain and night sweats.
Doctor’s at Urgent Care decided to send Jordan directly to the Emergency department where they ran several blood tests and did an ultrasound that discovered Jordan hasa mass and referred him to a specialist in Springfield.
Jordan saw Dr. Anderson at Cox Health in Springfield on Monday, May 3rd. He confirmed Jordan has testicular cancer and scheduled surgery to remove the mass on Wednesday, May 26th. Luckily, the surgery is outpatient and he should be able to go home the same day, however he will have to come back for further testing to make sure that the cancer has not spread to other areas of his body. Luckily, the doctor said, if it has spread, testicular cancer cells are very responsive to chemotherapy and radiation.
Life sometimes has a way of turning lemons into something resembling lemonade and the same day Jordan found out he had testicular cancer he also found out that he would be the father to a baby girl in October!
Jordan doesn’t have health insurance so I started this GoFundMe to raise money to help Jordan pay for his surgery, testing, and possibly additional treatments.
