Help the Baumanns bring home baby #2!
The Baumanns publicly announced last April that they were beginning the process to adopt again! Their adoption process began in January with Hope's Promise, a Colorado-based adoption agency they worked with to bring Karsten home. Hope's Promise helped them complete their training, home study, and got them ready to be a waiting family. Beginning the adoption process in the middle of a global pandemic has been a bit of a wild ride! It has included home studies in their garage (pictured below) and online adoption training. Yet with all of the obstacles they've faced, they have continued to pursue what God has led them toward every step of the way.
Garage Home Study
Throughout the process God continued to press on their hearts to trust Him which developed into God asking them to take another risk - to step outside of their comfort zone to work with a new consultant and trust that this time their baby would not be from Colorado. At the beginning of September they were connected with their new consultant, Cradled in Grace. They had finished all of their steps leading up to being a waiting family and in the matter of a week and a half the consultant started sending them profile notifications!
With this new transition to working with a consultant the cost to adopt has increased for them. They will need to be prepared to cover not only the typical adoption and hospital fees, but also fees for travel expenses to get to their child, and a place to stay while they are there. For that reason the goal for this fundraiser has been set for what the average adoption cost using a consultant is. Every bit that you give to this fund will help to bring a child home to their family!
