When one person has a dream or a vision, and is able to convey that dream to his friends, magic happens. Cy Lo, a San Francisco Building Contractor was inspired to reach out to a group of friends with his idea. And from that initial idea, “Saving Face” was born.

The task was to make PPE’s – specifically face shields - for the frontline medical personnel who are treating Covid-19 patients and needed protection from infectious material while providing vital medical response during this health crisis.

The SAVING FACE team immediately got to work organizing, procuring materials and starting this Go Fund Me page. This group of friends, contractors and business people has creatively resourced materials from all around the Bay Area to turn this mission into a reality.

Now into our 13th week, we have assembled and delivered  close to 11,000 face shields to over to 50 different hospitals, clinics, individual medical personnel and the San Francisco Fire Department, Navajo Nation, Sioux reservation, Oakland Fire Dept. Emergency Services & have sent our shields
around the country to many clinics. 

We want to keep this going for as long as the need is out there. Your contributions, 100% of which go into procuring more materials to assemble more shields are what keeps us in business. While the SF Bay Area is in relative good shape, medical personnel tell us they are bracing for another surge and we want to help them be prepared.
