Bay to Beirut: Running for the Displaced Lebanese
Tax deductible
Lebanon is already suffering from one of its worst economic crises in its history, with no president and inability to provide even the most basic necessities for its people. On Monday, September 23, nearly 500 people died, marking it the country's deadliest day since the 1975-1990 civil war. Now, tens of thousands of Lebanese have been displaced from their homes.
If the Lebanese can't stand still, neither will I.
On November 10, less than 4 months post-partum, I will be running a half marathon in honor of the Lebanese people. Until then, for every $50, I will run 1 mile. The funds will go directly to Beit el Baraka, a verified & vetted NGO we raised nearly $100k for after the Aug 4 blast. With this money, they will purchase food, mattresses, blankets, and medicine needed to support displaced families and the elderly.
